As some people were protesting the national anthem at the football season opener on 9/11, others stepped up their game and showed a lot of class. In a recent tribute to 9/11, some athletes are wearing new cleats by Kickasso like Picasso. These cleats are designed with the American flag covering the entirety of the cleats. Some of the athletes wearing these new cleats include Tennessee Titans linebacker Avery Williamson, and New York Giants Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz, the latter who further customized his cleats with his fireman father's engine number. These cleats were worn this past weekend to commemorate the 15 year anniversary of 9/11, though there was some speculation that the players would be fined if they were worn. Several groups spoke out in support of the cleats being worn in tribute, even offering to pay the NFL fines of the athletes wearing them at this past Sunday's games.
